Swarnalatha Subramanian is a popular and well known Carnatic Vocalist based in Delhi. She hails from the renowned music family of Harikesanallur Muthiah Bhagavatar who was a great music genius having composed several songs in Sanskrit,Tamil etc. Swarnalatha too is a lyric writer and music composer.She has a very melodious voice and has enthralled many audiences with her compositions and singing.She has been trained from a young age by her uncle Yegneswara Bhagavatar of Bombay and Justice T L Venkatarama Iyer of Supreme Court who was a fine music critic and an authority for Dikshitar kritis.

Swarnalatha was given lot of encouragement by her father late H Ganesan. She has given performances at many places in India besides in US. She has cut lot of audio CDs and music cassettes. With the blessings of His Holiness Shri Shri Bharathitheertha Mahaswamiji of Sringeri Sharada Peetam,she is teaching Carnatic music to a number of students at Shankara Vidya Kendra,Vasant Vihar,New Delhi for well over 20 years.She has received many honours from various institutions.
